This past weekend, I went with a few other volunteers on a relatively impromptu trip to Pichilemu, a sleepy, neat little beach-side surf town on the coast of the O’Higgins regions in Chile. Apart from having picturesque scenery and beautiful, expansive beaches, the area boasts some of the world’s most “gnarly waves”, and is thus widely recognized as South America’s surfing capital. Along with delicious seafood, grilled ready to serve on a plate or with cheese inside an empanada, the place is a little slice of surf bum heaven. Here are a few pics:
